Association of Radio Industries and
Businesses of
Japan - (ARIB) - The Association of Radio Industries
and Businesses
of Japan was developed to be a voice concerning Japanese integration of
telecommunications and broadcasting, as well as the promotion of
businesses
using radio waves in
general. ARIB have their own important standards concerning
Interactive TV related products/services in the Japanese market. ARIB
specifies technical specifications related to communication,
transmission and reception equipments. The ARIB standard is used to
broadcast and receive scrambled TV signals and specifies standards for
interaction between the Smart Card, descrambler, and demux.
