DV - This digital VCR format is used by Sony, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, Philips, Hitachi, Sanyo, JVC, Sharp, Thomson and Toshiba.  Examples are Panasonic's DVCPRO and Sony's DVCAM. (2002 definition.)
