Release Window - The term "Release Window" is often associated with the public releasing of content, such as movies. It could be the time period between when a studio releases a movie in cinemas and when they release that same movie ondemand and/or on DVD.

As of early 2006, on average, a movie came out on DVD roughly 4-4½ months after its release in cinemas.
