Satellite Provider - The Satellite Provider is the entity that provides and probably maintains the actual hardware and other equipment, perhaps including the satellites, to make the actual transmission to the viewer possible. The satellite provider doesn't necessarily provide the receivers (set-top boxes) and programming that are used/seem by the viewer (subscriber.)  Examples are/were ICO, Globalstar and Intelsat.
