This might entail the use of a slot for inserting smart cards, credit cards and other types of bankcards. After a connection is made to the network, financial transactions can be made. Set-top Box-based System – A system, such
as video on demand,
where the network has limited functionality.
With a video on demand
(VOD) network, activity is oriented to functions related to the VOD.
With a more expansive system, such as an Internet-based System, the
user
can surf the Internet as well. Set-top Box Subscriber – The subscriber
accessing the set-top box is the subscriber that the set-top box
