TeleTV - (Telephone-TV) - (1) It was created in 1995 by PacTel, Bell Atlantic and NYNEX (which is now largely part of Bell Atlantic,) that a while back reportedly ordered 3 million Thompson set-top boxes. Unfortunately it failed and they reportedly lost $500 million. They were particularly interested in video on demand.

(2) A concern that provides Internet and/or interactive TV related services through telephone lines.  This term, when used, is used more often in countries other than the United States.
