Addressable Converter - A set-top
box, or equivalent device, that receives data from the headend, such as
downgrades, upgrades, free previews, video on demand and pay per view
programming. Each of these devices have an unique
identity and in certain ways are programmed (addressed)
by the network
operator individually.
