Analog - (Anologue) (1) Adjective referring to the use of information in a continuous, rather than discrete (digital) form. For example, an analog telephone transmits and receives voice transmissions as a continuous voltage type of wave. (2) The world as we experience it is primarily an analog world. Any kind of information (e.g. sound speech, pictures) is transmitted in continuous waveforms that the human senses are able to receive and to understand.

Analogue Switch-off  (TV) - (a.k.a. Analogue Terrestrial Switch-off) - When standard analogue TV signals are replaced with other platforms, primarily digital TV.
