Low
Power
Television - (Low Power
Broadcasting, LPTV, Low Power Television Service, LPB) - (May be known as Micropower Broadcasting, Microbroadcasting)
- This includes radio broadcasting as well as TV broadcasting.
LPTV
stations can provide their communities with local programming, and
event/issue coverage in a smaller area than many TV stations. In July,
1999, in the States there were 2,190 LPTV licenced stations. As
LPTV signals are comparatively weak, LPTV stations don’t generally
interfere with larger TV stations using the same frequency. LPTVs
don't
always license themselves which could be an issue. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LPTV
