MITV  - (Microsoft Interactive Television) - Microsoft Interactive Television was originally known as the "MITV Group".  It was originally formed to find a commercially viable use for bandwidth that Microsoft received from DIRECTV as part of a joint platform and service agreement; also Microsoft wanted to build "TV functionality" into their Windows operating system (which they did.)
   Comspan Communications Inc. was selected as a primary strategy and planning consultant for this ambitious, global interactive television project. It's now more associated with Microsoft TV Platform.
