Virtual PC (1) The late ICTV developed a "virtual PC" service that could be delivered to cable subscriber TVs over hybrid fiber/coax (HFC) networks. ICTV and Cox Communications started a market trial of the service in March 1997 in Santa Barbara, Calif.

(2) Virtual PC allows you to install a Microsoft, Linux or IBM operating system on your Mac. 'Virtual PC' is a software program that contains most of the components that are found in a PC, however it's all in software.
