Network Attached Storage – (NAS) – A NAS is designed to separate storage resources from network and application servers.  A NAS device may attach directly to an entity’s LAN.  A file system is located and managed on the NAS device. Data is transferred to clients over industry standard network protocols. NAS allows data to be shared among compatible client’s networks.
