Voice Recognition - (Speech Recognition) - By using this software application, the user talks to the computer system and the computer types and/or responds to the wording as if the user was typing the words on a standard keyboard and/or utilizing a mouse. IBM's “Voice Type Simply Speaking” substitutes the use of a keyboard and is an example.  It can however require users to speak slower and more uniformly than they're used to.  This falls in the general category of "Assistive Technology."
